11/01/2011 - GMAB Director De Maertelaere attends Leadership Conference in the Algarve
Representatives of 17 European club managers associations gathered in the Algarve last month, for the first CMAE Leadership in Education Conference. Delegates discussed a number of issues where we can collaborate with colleagues from other countries, and a great deal of progress was made towards the creation of a pan-European framework for club management education. The 2nd Belgian Golf Management Conference was a success for the GMAB. Golf Managers, board members, pro's and greenkeepers gathered in Thermae Palace to learn from both national and international key-note speakers. Corporate government, social media, greenkeeping, ecology, marketing, the new profile of the golfer and international golf management were the topics of a the very broad conference approach.

The first international golf tournament between the Golf Management Assoiciation of Belgium and the Association des Directeurs de Golf de France has been played in Bondues (France) on tuesday 12th October. The Belgian Team has beaten the French Team in a 4BBB match Play Format.
